The revenue-sharing formula has been adjusted to give more to the states and local governments:
- Federal Government: 10%
- State Governments: 55%
- Local Governments: 35%
- Impact: Out of a hypothetical ₦100 billion VAT pool, a state like Lagos would receive ₦55 billion, which could then be invested in critical infrastructure like schools and roads.
